Mar 2, 2010 - I shot this...or was one of the 3 camera operators I should say. David Minasian (who directed and edited this) and I loved working with them. It's great to see them get such great praise. They deserve it. I still have 2 shirts that they gave me that I will never throw away.

Mar 3, 2010 - the sound is very David Gilmour-y

Mar 4, 2010 - Thank you for posting this wonderful display of musical genius — it is superb! As much as I appreciate the skill of the shredders: Satriani et al, given the choice I would choose Latimer's soul any day of the week, and as someone has already suggested he can mostly probably shred anyway.Steve Vai's 'For the Love of God'; an arguably 'soulful' tune does not come close in my opinion, but it is only an opinion.

Mar 5, 2010 - @cr00mz Well maybe it is a little "Gilmourish", but pay attention to their fundamentaly different techiniques..:Gilmour uses his vib-arm on almost every note, whilest Andy doesn't even have one! His vibrato is in his left arm. Pay also attention to his deliate use of the volume knob to give perfect distortion/overtunes.

Mar 6, 2010 - I played this for my girlfriend who doesn't like rock music, and she loved it. Latimer gives FEELING when he plays.

Mar 7, 2010 - I can't stop watching this truly historical and amazing footage of a guitarist who somehow has passed me by.The throaty bend a 6.33 blows me away and I played this for my wife who has no interest in my guitar players and for the first time ever she went — WOW!No widdly widdly — which by the way I like as well — just pure music as it comes>

Mar 7, 2010 - I do have a large collection of music at home. Yet this piece of music is probably the most important in my life ever since it was released decades ago. The level of emotions put into this track affects me a lot and maybe almost everyone who really listens. It is hard to understand that hardly anyone knows about Andrew Latimer and Camel. This is the soundtrack to the best of your dreams.

Mar 9, 2010 - this piece was indeed written a couple of decades ago but i think that this live version is relatively new - i base this opinion on the keyboards that he is playing - i am fairly sure that his keyboard set-up is less than 10 years old but certainly i could be wrong.anyway, this is an awesome live music!

Mar 9, 2010 - A man and his guitar in perfect harmony.Meaningful music can't get any better than this. However, those of us who are familiar with Camel's music know that Andy Latimer has composed dozens of gems like this. Every Camel album contains at least 2 fabulous songs that stay with you forever. I saw their concert in 1982 and still remember every song they played and how much I enjoyed being there.I just hope Andy recovers completely from his illness. You have given us so much enjoyment, THANKS!

Mar 11, 2010 - Fantastic guitar! BTW few people know that in the 70/80s in the soviet Russia there were a lot of amazing prog rock bands. Try for instance " Snowballs by Horizont " or "Vocalise by Horizont" and you'll get a smashing example of original Russian symphonic prog!
