YouTube are bound to operate in accordance with (copyright) law or they'd end up in a world of trouble; the ammunition they'd give to challenging interests (other companies that see YouTube as a threat) would be 'suicidal' as far as self-preservation goes.

It seemed like it was either manually vetted by YouTube prior to publication, or an automated system detected it.I've seen other versions up too that haven't been muted, so go figure? Maybe they're using a detection software like "Audible Magic" to ID the content and some are slipping through? No idea. Could be interesting to figure an answer to that though.
