Feb 2, 2009 - The Mujahadin were a different group that were forced out of power by the Taliban in 1996. Very little to do with Al-Qaeda. While Bin Laden recieved aid from the CIA, I doubt their intention was to lead to 9/11. Sometimes, servants bite the masters hand.

Feb 7, 2009 - That is part of it and I agree that Russia should take some of the responsibility and help us out but the problem with that it that Russia will always hate America and they wouldn't be willing to work together. You need something like 10 troops for every 1 civilian (its something like that,not sure of the exact ratio)to effectively fight terrorism and insurgency in a place like Helmand and at the moment we aren't hitting that so that's why we are struggling and why it has gone on so long.
